Striper Fishing has been hot and cold. Areas that are holding bass are Shrewsbury Rocks to the north, and IBSP, LBI to the south. Anglers who net or snag bunker elsewhere have been live-lineling and chunking the areas and have caught many 30lb+ including an unconfirmed report of 54lb fish caught. Bunker spoons are still producing
Fluke fishing has been Excellent in 25-40 feet the coastal Monmouth and Ocean county beaches. Burkey Gulp, has been accounting for alot of the fish being caught. Most have had no problems getting keepers. Sea Bassing also very good on inshore wrecks and rock piles, clams are the best choice for bait.
Offshore: Sharking has been very productive with blue sharks, makos, and Threshers. Also schoolie BF tuna have made their annual appearence from the Chicken Canyon inshore to Little Italy.
